General Advice: The most accurate way of determining your perfect ring size is by going to a jewellery shop and by having your finger measured there by a member of staff (using a ring gauge). Please note that, for broader ring bands, one must usually go up a little in size, as broader rings are more difficult to slide over the ‘centre knuckle’, the knuckle located nearest the base of the finger. The sizing ‘ring bands’ of to-the-jewellery-trade-available ring gauges (as pictured below) are relatively narrow in width and therefore slide over the knuckle much more easily.
